The third instalment of Cornelia Funke's popular young adult film series!
The saucy girls have now matured into attractive teenagers and are struggling with love problems. While Sprat can't understand why her boyfriend Fred is suddenly in such a hurry to have his "first time", Melanie has a secret that she can't even confide in her best friends - or so she thinks. As the story progresses, it becomes clear once again that the "Wild Hens" stick together, even and especially in difficult situations.
It is still exciting to watch the "chickens" grow older. In terms of their appearance alone, they develop over the course of the three films and smoothly make the transition from ‘soft’ children to body-conscious teenagers. In the meantime, they have even had offspring in the form of the ‘wild chicks’, while they themselves, still slightly bumpy and sometimes overwhelmed, start ‘into life’. In their last adventure together, the ‘chickens’ fill up on a good dose of hope and optimism before you have to say goodbye to them, quite wistfully.
