Dumitru Stanciu is one of the last mountain shepherds in Europe. Like his ancestors for thousands of years, he moves with his flock of sheep across the expanses of the Transylvanian Carpathian Arc in summer and winter, very close to the sky. He lives in the myths of his mountains, between bears and wolves, in sun, wind, snow and ice and constant care for his animals... When he soon hangs up his sheepskin, a piece of Old Europe will die irretrievably. Or will his son Radu take over the herd?
